Our published content describes how we think about AI governance for regulated organisations. It is intended to be useful to executives, risk and compliance leaders, and operators. It is not, and does not become, professional advice tailored to your circumstances by virtue of being read.

Nothing on this site is legal advice. SMMARUN is a consultancy, not a law firm, and is not authorised to practise law. Statutory references, regulatory citations, and discussion of cases or notifications are included to make our reasoning legible; they are not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel.

For legal questions, instruct Indian counsel, or counsel qualified in the relevant foreign jurisdiction. Indian advocates are governed by the Advocates Act 1961 and the Bar Council of India Rules. Our reading of the law is our own, offered without warranty.

SMMARUN's healthcare and pharma content addresses AI governance, operational risk, and assurance for healthcare and life-sciences organisations. It is not medical, clinical, diagnostic, prescriptive, or therapeutic advice, and must not be relied upon as such.

Under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and successor frameworks, medical advice may be given only by registered medical practitioners. Nothing we publish is intended to constitute, replace, or guide a clinical decision. Patients should consult a qualified physician; healthcare organisations should validate any operational guidance against their own clinical-governance processes.

Not financial or investment advice

SMMARUN's banking content addresses AI governance, model risk, and operational assurance for banks, insurers, and other regulated financial institutions. It is not financial advice, not investment advice, and not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or transact in any security or financial product.

In India, investment advice may be provided only by persons registered under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations 2013. Banks and other regulated entities are also bound by the RBI's Master Directions, including those on KYC, outsourcing, and IT governance. Our content does not substitute for advice from a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a qualified chartered accountant, or any regulator-directed assurance function.

Not regulatory advice

References to laws, rules, master directions, advisories, and regulator communications reflect our understanding at the time of writing. Regulatory positions shift. Rules are notified, amended, withdrawn, and reinterpreted. Reliance on outdated content is on the reader.

Where a date is shown on a page (for example, the Last reviewed date below), that is the version date. If a regulatory matter is material to a decision you are about to take, confirm the current position with counsel or with the regulator before relying on what you read here.

Engagement-specific advice is different

If you engage SMMARUN under a Statement of Work or other written agreement, the deliverables produced under that engagement are the formal output of our work for you. Those deliverables are tailored to your context, factually verified against your inputs, and governed by the engagement terms.

This site is not that deliverable. Nothing on these public pages overrides, supplements, or substitutes for the engagement-specific work product we produce for paying clients.

No professional relationship from reading the site

Visiting this site, reading our content, requesting a paper from the Library, or sending an enquiry through the Begin a conversation form does not create a client, contractor, advisory, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship between you and SMMARUN. This mirrors Section 1 of our Terms of Use.

A professional relationship is established only on the execution of a Statement of Work or equivalent written engagement letter, signed by both sides.
