Accessibility Statement.

Our commitment

SMMARUN believes accessibility is part of competent professional practice, not a feature. We design and build this website so that people with a range of abilities can read it, navigate it, and engage with us on equal terms.

We anchor our work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the W3C in October 2023. We treat WCAG 2.2 AA as our internal baseline and work towards it on every release.

Conformance statement

Target conformance level: WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Self-assessed conformance status: partially conformant. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard.

Scope. This statement covers the public website at smmarun.ai, including all pages, the cookie-consent banner, the contact forms, and the Library landing pages.

Out of scope. Some PDF documents in our Library are legacy materials produced before our current accessibility standards were adopted; these may have accessibility limitations. Embedded third-party content (for example, content delivered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 forms or Google Analytics tooling) is governed by those vendors' own accessibility statements.

What we have done

The current build of the site applies the following measures:

• Semantic HTML throughout: pages use headings, lists, landmarks, and form labels rather than generic containers.
• Keyboard navigation across the whole site, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
• ARIA labels on the cookie banner and on icon-only controls so assistive technology can announce them.
• Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful non-text elements, measured against WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds.
• No reliance on colour alone to convey meaning. Status, links, and emphasis use shape, weight, or wording in addition to colour.
• No time-limited interactions on the public site. Forms do not expire while you are filling them in.
• No pointer-only controls. Every action available with a mouse is available with a keyboard.
• Alt text on images that carry meaning. Images that are purely decorative are marked as such so screen readers can skip them.
• A language attribute on the root element (lang="en") and on Sanskrit or Devanagari runs (lang="sa") so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
• Responsive layout that reflows at 320 CSS pixels wide and supports text resizing up to 200 percent without loss of content or function.

Known limitations and roadmap

We try to be honest about what is not yet in place. The current gaps we are aware of:

• Legacy PDF white papers in the Library. Several of our older papers were produced before our current accessibility standards. They may lack tagged structure, alt text, or reading-order metadata. We are remediating them in batches.
• Compliance Scope chip grids. Some industry pages present compliance scope as a dense visual grid of chips. The data is keyboard-reachable and screen-reader-readable, but a separate plain-text view may be easier for some readers. This is on the roadmap.
• Third-party form widgets. Where forms are embedded from Microsoft Dynamics 365, the vendor's own accessibility implementation applies. We monitor this and will request fixes from the vendor where we find issues.

Day 0 to 30. Complete an internal WCAG 2.2 AA self-audit across every page. Fix any contrast, focus, or label gaps found. Add the plain-text alternative view for the Compliance Scope chip grids.

Day 30 to 60. Remediate the top ten most-downloaded PDFs in the Library to tagged, accessible PDF/UA. Publish an updated statement reflecting the post-audit conformance position.

How to report an accessibility issue

If something on this site does not work for you, please tell us. Email hello@smmarun.ai with the subject Accessibility request. Please include:

• The page or feature where you encountered the problem.
• What you were trying to do.
• What happened, and what you expected to happen.
• The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using, if you can.

We acknowledge accessibility reports within 24 hours of receipt. Our resolution target is 15 calendar days from acknowledgement. If a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you why and give a revised date.

If you need information from this site in an alternative format (large print, plain text, accessible PDF, or another format that suits your needs), please ask and we will provide it.

Audit cadence

We carry out an internal self-audit against WCAG 2.2 AA on each substantive release of the site. We commission a third-party accessibility audit once a year. The next third-party audit is scheduled for Q4 2026. The audit report's findings, and our response to them, will be reflected in the next version of this statement.

Applicable laws

We aim to meet or exceed the obligations of the following laws and standards where they apply to us or to our clients:

• European Union: Directive (EU) 2019/882, the European Accessibility Act, with a compliance date of 28 June 2025. Where SMMARUN's services are offered to consumers in the EU, the EAA applies.
• United States: the Americans with Disabilities Act Title III, as applied to commercial websites by the federal courts (see Robles v. Domino's Pizza, LLC, 913 F.3d 898 (9th Cir. 2019)).
• India: the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, Sections 40 to 42, which set out accessible-website and information-access obligations.
• Procurement contexts: EN 301 549 v3.2.1, the European harmonised standard for ICT accessibility, used by EU public-sector procurement.
